Sydney Astrology School offers a Certificate in Astrology

The Certificate in Astrology consists of 4 core modules. Each module is given as a 2 hour class, once a week for ten weeks.

The Sydney Astrology School also meets the demands of those students wishing to gain even more knowledge and practical experience in Astrology. The supplementation of the core components with various other workshops and courses enhances and integrates the core components so that this ancient art/science can be brought alive through a variety of means.                                                                      

Astrology 1: The Building Blocks                                                       

The three astrological components of a birth chart, the planets, the zodiac signs, and the houses are discussed in detail. Students will learn WHAT each planet represents. Students will discover HOW the planets express themselves by which SIGN of the zodiac they are placed. Thirdly, the student will learn that the HOUSE in which the planet falls will indicate WHERE in our lives the focus of this energy is likely to be played out. At the conclusion of Level 1 students will understand the basic structure of a birth chart by combining the three building blocks of the planet, sign and house.

Astrology 2: The Birth Chart Story                                                                                        
This module provides greater technical knowledge, along with more insight into how your birth chart can be used to help you function in your everyday life. There is an emphasis on relationships (ASPECTS) between the different planetary energies in your chart. This highlights which areas of your psyche function easily and where your greatest challenges (soul growth) occur. CHART SHAPES and PATTERNS, CHIRON, the lunar NODES and an introduction to TRANSITS are all added to build the astrological story whilst adding more depth to the building blocks of Astrology 1. As we find that all of the planetary energies are constantly interacting with each other, the chart starts to come alive from a perspective of past, present and the future. At the conclusion of Level 2 students will have basic proficiency with reading a birth chart.

Astrology 3: The Evolving Birth Chart

This module is designed to explore the relationship between the birth chart and time. Firstly we explore how the moving planetary influences (TRANSITS) energetically impact upon our birth chart. The various passages of life e.g. the "Saturn Return" and the "Mid-Life Crisis" will also be discussed in the context of an astrological lifetime. Secondly, we explore how our birth chart evolves, unfolds or progresses over time by the use of PROGRESSIONS. Thirdly, students will be shown how to pull all the information together to structure an astrological session. At the conclusion of Level 3, students will have a basic proficiency with interpreting a natal chart in relation to a period in time, and be able to make simple predictions.

Astrology 4: Chart Practice and Integration

This module is designed to give practical experience to students. Students will be asked to discuss a variety of charts so that different ideas and approaches can be shared. This allows for the integration and digestion of all the theory of modules 1,2 and 3. COUNSELLING techniques are also discussed and students will be assisted in reframing ideas into constructive comments for positive client outcomes. Some new concepts such as SOLAR RETURNS, SOLAR ARCS and the relationship between two birth charts through SYNASTRY and COMPOSITE astrology will also be explored.

Astrology 5: Astrology Clinic

This module is designed for those students who would like more practice with charts, and wish to explore more advanced concepts and techniques outside the scope of the core components. Clients will be made available for group CLINICAL PRACTICE during this term. Students will be assisted in how to combine and prioritise all the information, as well as how to relay the information successfully to the client using positive counseling skills

Spiritual Astrology Workshop

These workshops are geared towards allowing students to feel rather than just intellectualise the energy of the astrological symbols and signs. These workshops are run over one or two days and are designed not only to connect with the spiritual aspects of ourselves but also as a therapeutic technique to heal some of our dysfunctional behaviours. They are designed for anyone who is interested in understanding more about their spiritual essence and although based on astrology, no astrological knowledge is necessary. There are limited places in these workshops in order to create an intimate space in which healing can occur.

The 12 Astrological Houses Workshop

In this workshop we take a deeper look at life's earthly terrains from a more evolutionary perspective. The "why?" behind what we need to learn within these 12 environments will be discussed in detail. This 6 hour intensive will help you grasp a fuller understanding of the houses and enhance your interpretive skills beyond the "cookbook".

Aspects and Aspect Patterns Workshop

In this workshop we investigate aspects from a psychological standpoint. What is the deeper meaning behind planetary configurations and what lessons do they provide to aid our growth. All aspects and aspect patterns will be explored in detail including the Yod, Kite and "Thors Hammer". We will look at numerous aspect connections via natal charts, transits and progressions as well as their profound importance on the lunar nodes.

The Nodes & Past Life Stories Workshop

This workshop explores in depth the MOON'S NODAL AXIS and the profound role it plays in chart interpretation. The Moon's Nodes tell a story from beyond our earthly time frame, intrinsically connected to other planets and points within our natal chart. We look at the "chart behind the chart" the backdrop to our natal story, becoming aware of our energy from the past. Unresolved issues are illuminated as well as identifying a clear pathway toward our evolutionary growth. A basic understanding of aspects, or Level 2 equivalent is advised for this workshop. 

Natal Chart Interpretation Workshop

Learn how to interpret the pulse of the natal chart. This workshop will provide you with the tools, techniques and above all engage your heart with interpreting a birth chart. Step by step you will be taken through the process of identifying the charts hierarchies, gradually pulling the full story together. This workshop will focus on feeling the chart and then interpreting this so that it makes sense to the client and their specific needs. An understanding of the planets, signs, houses and aspects is a prerequisite. 

Transits and Progressions Workshop

Learn how to interpret planetary movements as they transit and progress the natal chart. This workshop is geared to provide basic techniques of astrological theory, how to glean a chart's energy intuitively, and how to relay this information using positive counselling skills. We will explore the deeper meaning of planetary messages, and the choices that can be made to attain a more fulfilling life.
